Over Langshaw Farm - About Us
We are a family run dairy farm in the Scottish Borders. We moved from Argyll 30 years ago and we've been here at Over Langshaw Farm ever since.
The farm was converted to organic methods in 2000 as we felt there had to be a more sustainable way of farming; one that didn't use artificial fertilisers and herbicides. It took a couple of years for the land to revert back to its natural state.
The farm sits at around 800ft above sea level and has good grass and a healthy balance of livestock and crops. We have a lovely dairy herd, a stack of quirky Columbian Black Tail egg laying hens and a beautiful flock of Lleyn Sheep. Just for good measure we've also got four collie dogs, a couple of cats and even a pet snake. You don't have to be human to enjoy good ice cream making!
